What you can do
- Import CSV, TSV, TXT or supported XLSX files, or explicitly paste text to create a table. Preview and choose an encoding or delimiter when it is ambiguous. Choose whether the input has a header.
- Trim leading and trailing whitespace and remove empty data rows or columns. Remove duplicates using the whole row or one or more selected columns, keeping the first or last record.
- Replace whole cells or literal matching text, convert character width or letter case, sort or filter by a column, format recognizable dates, and split a column.
- Select and copy cells, rows, columns or a rectangular range. Delete selected rows or columns, or use the explicit cell-details action to edit supported text cells.
- Reorder columns in a separate panel by dragging or using the up/down buttons. Review the order before applying once; content and supported formatting move with each column.
- Join text from at least two columns in the current left-to-right order. Choose a separator and preview before appending a new text column. Source columns remain; only truly empty cells are skipped by default, and whitespace text is not trimmed. This does not merge layout cells.
- Extract selected columns into an independent copy. Combine tables, compare changes between two tables, or split by a field such as department and package the results.
- Review bounded samples of the latest change, undo recent operations, rename a copy, save it separately or use system sharing. Change samples are not a full audit report.
Supported files and limits
For Mac and iPhone. Text import supports UTF-8, UTF-16 LE/BE with a BOM, and safely recognized GB18030, GBK, Big5 and Windows-1252. Delimiters can be commas, tabs or semicolons. If detection is ambiguous, use the preview to choose; arbitrary encodings are not guaranteed.
For ordinary single-sheet XLSX files, only supported content types and formatting are retained. With a complex or multi-sheet workbook, select one sheet and explicitly confirm extraction to a CSV data copy. Formulas use existing cached values, which may be outdated; they are not recalculated. Data copies do not preserve formulas, merged cells, conditional formatting, validation or table objects. Encrypted files, macros, external links and other unsupported structures are rejected. Complete Excel fidelity is not promised.
File and processing limits
- Up to 30,000 data rows and 128 columns. CSV: up to 250,000 rectangular cells; ordinary XLSX: up to 120,000, including the header. All three limits apply together.
- Text files: up to 6 MiB. Compressed XLSX: up to 8 MiB, with separate limits on expanded content. Raw text values total up to 4 MiB; each cell up to 64 KiB.
- Combine 2–8 files at a time. Split into up to 100 groups, with grouped data files totaling up to 64 MiB. A two-table change export contains up to 10,000 field-detail entries.
Common questions
How do selection, copying and cell details work?
Dragging in the main table selects within the current page. Use Select Range for other pages or distant columns; row numbers and column letters select whole rows or columns. On iPhone, long-press then drag to select; ordinary swipes scroll. On Mac, drag with the mouse and use Cmd+C to copy the selected range. Tapping a data cell selects it; use Selection Actions → View/Edit Cell to open details. A tap does not automatically start editing.
Why can a named column still be removed as empty?
Empty-column removal checks the data area; a header label does not prevent removal. Supported ordinary whitespace, such as spaces, tabs and line breaks, can count as empty. Formatting alone does not make a cell nonempty. Numbers, dates, booleans, formula cells and special characters such as zero-width characters are not treated as empty merely because they look blank. Review the proposed removal scope before applying.
Will joining text change IDs or source columns?
Source columns stay, and the result is appended. Leading zeros in text IDs, quotes, tabs and line breaks remain text. Typed Excel values use the text shown in the preview, producing a plain-text column without changing source types or date interpretation. If a capacity limit is exceeded, the entire operation is rejected rather than partially applied.
Why were some dates not converted?
Ambiguous or invalid dates, or conversions that would lose time information, keep their original values. Choose the date interpretation based on the file source rather than guessing from your device region.
Can I compare tables without a unique ID?
Whole-row comparison can report additions and removals while retaining duplicate counts. It does not guess which old record became which new record. Comparison by identifier requires nonempty, unique identifiers.
How do Cancel, Undo and reopening differ?
Cancel closes a panel without applying edits. Successful edits can be undone during the current session, up to 20 steps and within the history budget. Persisted work and names can be restored on reopening; unfinished operations are not guaranteed to restore. Undo history restarts from zero after relaunch.
What if saving or sharing fails?
Try a new filename or location. The app does not overwrite source files or existing files with the same name. Opening or closing a share sheet does not confirm delivery. Save to Files first and check the actual copy if needed.
How do the seven-day trial and one-time purchase work?
The same App Store purchasing account shares a continuous 168-hour trial after you explicitly claim it successfully. Mac and iPhone do not start separate clocks. After expiry, new edits stop; existing work can still be viewed, undone, renamed, saved or shared. One purchase covers both platforms and does not renew automatically. Claiming the trial, purchasing or restoring on a new device requires a connection; a verified purchase does not require periodic connectivity. Prices are shown by Apple at purchase.
